St. Andrew the Apostle Church, through donations and memorials, has established a scholarship for students attending the Madonna Catholic Regional School. These funds are intended to provide financial resources and be awarded to full-time students. The value of the scholarship for the 2020-2021 school year will be $1,500 but may vary based on the number of qualified applicants. The funds will be disbursed at the close of the school year (on or around 6/1/2020).
Qualified applicants will be:
Current students of the Madonna Catholic Regional School or plan to attend as a new student/transfer during the 2020-2021 school year.
Active parishioners at St. Andrew the Apostle Church
Application Procedure:
Applications will become available at the beginning of March 2020. Applications may be picked up at any of our parish offices, at the school, or may be printed from the church website (listed above).
Completed applications, a letter of recommendation, a short essay about “Why a Catholic education is important” and a photo must be returned to the parish office by 3/31/2020.
The Scholarship Selection Committee at the St. Andrew the Apostle will review all applications. The names and other identifiers will be stripped of the applications and assigned a number.
After reviewing all applications, the selection committee will contact the scholarship winner(s). The scholarship recipient(s) will be invited to the presentation of awards during mass in April/May. Recipients are expected to attend this presentation.
Tips: It’s most important that your responses are detailed and complete to help the selection committee better know the student. Any questions should be directed to the school principal, Mrs. Miller, or the parish business manager.
